Russell Cobb, a leading UK-based artist and illustrator, is celebrated for his work in both design and fine art. With a career spanning over two decades, Russell has earned numerous prestigious awards, including a D&AD Silver and five Association of Illustrators Best of British Gold awards.
In 2003, The Independent national newspaper recognised him as one of Britain’s top ten illustrators. His work has been featured in international publications such as 3X3 Magazine in New York, Tecknaren in Stockholm, and Illusive: Contemporary Illustration in Berlin. Russell’s unique style has led him to collaborate with top art directors in advertising, publishing, editorial, and interactive media.
Russell’s background in fine art and design gives his work a versatility that is evident in his successful exhibitions in London, Berlin, Zurich, and Paris. Between 2005 and 2009, he served as Chairman of the Association of Illustrators, where he played a key role in transforming the organisation.
In 2005, he was also made an honorary member of the Society of Illustrators in New York. Over the years, Russell has guest lectured at top institutions across Europe, including Central Saint Martins School of Art in London, Grafill in Oslo, and the Association of Dutch Designers in Amsterdam, as well as events in Norway, Switzerland, Holland, Spain, and Italy.
